Professor Man Charurat has over 15 years of research and implementation experience among vulnerable and key populations, HIV treatment and prevention service delivery, and HIV surveillance. He has bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and English from the University of Washington, as well as a master of health sciences in infectious disease epidemiology, and a PhD in international health from Johns Hopkins University. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed journal articles. He is the division director of epidemiology and prevention at the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, as well as the global director of the Center for International Health, Education, and Biosecurity at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
