With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Esther is dedicated to transforming financial services and empowering communities. She joined Safaricom PLC in May 2023 from KCB Group, where she was the Director of Corporate Banking. Her career spans leadership roles at Standard Bank Group, Standard Chartered Bank, and NCBA, across Kenya, Zambia, and South Africa.

At Safaricom, Esther oversees the Financial Services team, driving innovation and strategic development of financial products and solutions through M-PESA. She is committed to enhancing economic empowerment and delivering impactful financial services.Esther holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of East Africa, Baraton, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, UK. She is also an AoEC Accredited Executive Coach.
