Dr. Henry Kibet Mutai, Ph.D

Dr. Henry Kibet Mutai is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 20 years of experience in practice and academia. He holds a PhD in international trade law from the University of Melbourne as well as master of law (LLM) degrees from Temple University and the University of Melbourne. His bachelor of law (LLB) degree is from the University of Nairobi. He has wide experience in governance, having served as the managing director of the Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) for a period of three years from 2011–2014, as well as on the board of directors of the Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO) and the Anti-Counterfeit Agency (ACA). He is currently the director/CEO of the Kenya School of Law, lead consultant with Afrilex Consulting, and an associate of the Trade Law Centre (tralac) in South Africa.
